1. Who we are
ChibiSwipe, a dating app for fans of anime, gaming and nerd culture (18+), is a product of edhellond, which operates and owns it (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@edhellond.com.
2. Website vs. app
This website is a marketing site with a waitlist. The ChibiSwipe phone app is still in development and is not available yet.
3. What the waitlist collects
If you join the waitlist we collect and store:
- your email address (required);
- your city (optional);
- your favorite anime (optional, free text);
- the date and time you signed up;
- the two-letter country code that our hosting provider derives from your connection (we do not store your IP address).
We use this only to tell you about the ChibiSwipe launch and to understand roughly where interest is. We do not sell it and do not use it for advertising. We process it based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
To limit abuse, the signup form is rate-limited. For that, a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself) is kept for up to one hour.
4. Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep waitlist entries until the app launches and we have sent the launch notice, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. To delete your entry, email hello@edhellond.com from the address you signed up with.
6. Your rights
If the GDPR or similar data-protection laws such as the UK GDPR or the CCPA apply to you, you may have rights such as to access your data, have it corrected, have it erased, receive a portable copy, object to processing and withdraw consent. You may also be able to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To use these rights, email us.
7. Hosting and processors
This site is served by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare processes requests to the site (including your IP address) in its global network, which may include servers outside your country or region, and it stores waitlist entries for us in Cloudflare Workers KV. We do not currently choose or guarantee the storage region. Cloudflare acts on our behalf under its own terms and data protection commitments.
8. Age limit and children
ChibiSwipe is for adults only (18+). The waitlist requires you to confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has signed up, email us and we will delete the entry.
9. The app
The ChibiSwipe app will have its own, more detailed privacy policy. It will cover profile data (including sensitive data such as sexual orientation), selfie verification and moderation. That policy will be published before the app launches.
10. Changes
We may update this policy, especially before launch. The date at the top shows the latest version.
